This course is ideal for anyone looking to build a strong foundation in VHF/UHF communication, radio programming, antenna setup, and intelligence gathering across multiple channels. Be prepared to work hard and immerse yourself in a full day of learning.
The 6 hour class is just the beginning of our comms development journey. Included with this training will be 6 organized and scheduled monthly exercises to put into practice and refine what we have learned. The goal will be to build a foundation and prepare for MOD 2 of our comms training: “Tac Comms” (to be scheduled in the 2nd half of 2025). Completing both modules of training and the organized exercises will allow you to successfully create and implement a proper strategy for whatever scenario or situation you feel inclined to plan for.

As the owner of Unpaved Expeditions, Joe brings years of active experience as a radio operator, working alongside local law enforcement, emergency management teams, HAZMAT, and Search and Rescue (SAR) teams.
