ODST is a two-day, immersive training experience designed to challenge and develop your technical and tactical skill set. This unique course brings together a diverse mix of advanced techniques, concepts, and tactics in an engaging and fast-paced format.

Key topics covered include (but are not limited to):

  • Perishable Skills Mastery: Reinforce and refine critical abilities that degrade over time without consistent practice.
  • Injured Shooter Techniques: Learn to adapt and overcome challenges when operating under compromised conditions.
  • Low-Light Engagements: Develop confidence and precision in low-visibility environments.
  • Structure Navigation & Tactics: Build situational awareness and movement strategies in complex settings.

Each training block is carefully structured to build on the previous one, integrating a Performance on Demand approach that pushes you to perform at your best under real-world pressures.

ODST at the FARM Training Center will be exceptional as the facility and environment are specifically designed to accommodate dynamic, high-level training. Course Prerequisites

  • U.S. Citizen or Law Enforcement Officer
  • Able to legally carry a firearm
  • Able to demonstrate and employ safe weapons handling during courses of fire
  • Previous intermediate to advanced firearms training to include courses of fire where movement, barricades, working around others, communicating and adverse shooting positions were addressed

Instructor Bio

Bryan Veliz began his career as a state law enforcement officer with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 serving as an active patrol officer for several years. As a Patrol Officer within in his first two years on the field he was assigned as a member of the agency’s Special Response Team where he later was responsible for instructing firearms training and qualifications.

Bryan has attended training courses regarding the fundamental’s, mechanics, and safety standards of programs and continues to train every year. Bryan continues to serve in law enforcement in addition to being the founder and lead instructor with SlyTac Training Solutions, LLC before joining forces with Centrifuge Training, LLC as as full time instructor for two years.

While with Centrifuge Training he was responsible as a lead instructor for various programs i.e. VCQB, injured shooter & low light applications along with managing the database and creating or revamping material.

After leaving Centrifuge Training to pursue Slytac Training full-time. Bryan continues to serve as a training cadre for his department and continues to attend numerous training courses throughout the year.

Additionally, Bryan is an Endorsed Instructor by Modern Samurai Project, LLC.

 

Required Equipment:

  • At least 600 rounds of handgun ammunition
  • Safe, working duty handgun
  • Safe, working M4 / AR15 with sling (to be used with UTM Bolt conversions)
  • Full duty belt / tactical loadout / plain clothes (your normal work setup) with ability to carrt 1-2 spare mags (back pockets work if that's what you plan on using)
  • Reputable TQ (Snakestaff, CAT, SOFT-T) on your person is mandatory an IFAK is recommended
  • Cleaning kit, gun lube and push rod
  • Comfortable and protective clothing for training
  • Ear and eye protection (clear eye protection for low light)
  • Proper protective equipment for RBT (reality based training): headgear, neck and groin protection (head / face protection provided, bring long sleeves, pants, sports cup and some kind of neck protection - shemagh, neck gaiter etc)
  • Handheld flashlight(s), extra batteries and clear eye protection for low light work
  • Food & beverages (there is nothing close enough to the range to run get snacks or meals)
  • Note taking material​

The following equipment will be provided by Pew Pew Solutions for this training and is included in the price. If you have any of your own you would like to bring, feel free!

  • 50 rounds of UTM for each system (Pistol / Carbine) - additional ammo will be available for purchase, you can shoot as much or as little, ammo count is on you - airsoft is acceptable also
  • Force on force helmet / Paintball mask will work.
  • UTM Pistol for FoF work
  • UTM Bolt conversion for M4 / AR15
  • Med consumables (will be used during course) – Package of regular gauze, chest seal pack and pressure dressing
  • 2 glow sticks for low light work

* Please note that the range has no facilities / running water etc (they do have porta potties), so please bring plenty of water and anything else you might need throughout the days.
